Wearable Florals for Performance Artists, Artscience Museum, Singapore
ArtScience Museum at Marina Bay Sands has long been an iconic venue in Singapore, and in early 2020 Beverly’s Blooms was asked by a group of eight local artists led by the amazing Priyageetha Dia. Beverly’s Blooms was tasked to provide wearable floral adornments for a ninety minute live performance entitled The Sun Rises in Molten Gold, which explored the spiritual journey of reincarnated brown bodies; an exchange of of relationships, connecting memories and upholding traditions 200 years from now.
We loved the idea to create eight unique wearable floral pieces, featuring only Jasmine flowers, to fit the personality of each artist and the challenge to create something whimsical and alluring.
Moreover, each individual piece we created had to be durable and secure as they were worn throughout the live performance with plenty of movements by the artists.
As floral designers in Singapore, we were grateful for the trust and appreciation of the artists to create their bespoke floral adornments and overwhelmed by the success of the show. Such an amazing performance and the sky’s the limit for these artists.
